Cassiopeia PDA - Model DT-10

Casio’s new PDA has a nice VGA (640×480) screen, but is mostly billed as being ruggedized ie shock resistant, drip-proof and dustproof.

While the DT-10’s degree of ruggedness is not up to MIL-STD-810F standards, conformity to IP54 is not bad for business use.

Toshiba 600GB HDD DVR - Model RD-X5

Toshiba has just announced the RD-X5 which, with 600GB of storage, will be the world’s largest capacity digital video recorder.

The RD-X5 can record up to 1,071 hours of video. The device also supports recording of copy-once content generated by Content Protection for Recordable Media (CPRM).

Samsung has just announced the YP-T6 series of MP3 players. At a mere 30 grams (1 ounce) they are very compact.
The T6 supports MP3, OGG, WMA and ASF audio formats and has a capacity of up to 1GB (model YP-T6z).

Toshiba 37-inch LCD TV - Model 37LZ150

The new Toshiba model 37LZ150 is a fully networked 6.2 megapixel TV with connectivity to LAN, PC, external HDD/NAS, with an integrated web browser, USB port and an SD memory card slot.

Toshiba today announced three new F series models of its Gigabeat HDD-based MP3 players. One of the models is the F60 which has a 60-gigabyte capacity on a 1.8-inch hard disk drive.

The Hi-End Show Tokyo 2004 ends today (Sept 26). Intended for dedicated audiophiles, it bills itself as the “Most friendly audio show”.
One of the exhibits at the show was an unusual set of speakers. Dubbed the “Frog’ this set of speakers measures 1.7 meters high x 1.0 meters wide and a half meter deep.
