It IS the world’s fastest PRODUCTION car. You will always get some guy who wants to prove a point and use his life’s savings to build a faster car.
This Bugatti is even faster than a F1 car, YES, much faster. I think the F1’s would beat it around corners though.
It’s the stuff dreams are made of.
Imagine pulling off next a old John in his BMW M3 and making mince meat out of him!?? lol!
But be honest, even if you did have a spare MILLION Euros lying around, would you REALLY cough it up for one car???

no its not!… so far from what i’ve read there is suppose to be a nissan model car thats suppose to hit 260mph this would be the fastest car then the second fastest would be this one then the third would be a tie between the enzo and the saleen s7 twin turbo model

you idiot this is the fastest “production car built to date”. the viper is a one off car “there is only one of them”, and the other is the same way.
this car is not the one to have though, it gulps down 3 gallons of gas a minute at top speed, and the tires will run out in 87 minutes at top speed. plus using as much air for its combustion in one minute as a human breaths in 72 hours. little crazy if you ask me
quoted on a new front bumper cost you about $50,000 if you were to get into a fender bender. plus its so loud inside that it will make you go half deaf in a month of driving.

The SSC aero TT is the fastest car that WILL BE production.
Until april 2008, when the aero is made available to private ownership, the bugatti veyron will be the fastest production car around.
Besides, bugatti has upgraded their drive train and chassis and are enlarging the turbos, cylinders, and valve intakes on a new model that they claim can top out at near 450kph (or about 272mph for you americans who cant do metric systems)

nick, you obviously lead a sheltered life in utah… the veyron has: 1, 16 cylenders, not 12 and 2, its in a W formation with 4 turbos… not a V. hence the name vayron 16.4. just thought i might let you know.

man you guys are all hilarious…. all fighting over which car is faster… it’s called commercialism every company will make there car sound good, when really all those expensive cars do is cost more and more money, so sure keep making them there’s idiots that’ll buy ‘em, ( like buddy said 50,000 a bumper ) probably costs like 1,000 for an oil change, so argue which one is faster which one will bring you to bankrupty faster, or inevitably because they’re fast which one will put you 6 feet deep

yeah its nice, but i think its a prime example of speed over design. Face it, the only reason you ooo and aaaah when you see it is because of its speed. It looks like a lumpy piece of crap (albeit, one that goes 253 mph). Now if you want design, the Mclaren F1 is by far, the most beautiful car ever created and rated the best drives car. Lets face it, it was built in 1998, and it still hold numerous records, like the best power-to-weight ratio and the 0-100-0 record (8 seconds). This car was made 10 years ago! and yet its still rated as one of the best cars today. Its the perfect car. I still respect the bugatti, but when someone asks me what i think the best car is, i say the mclaren f1, all the way baby. (and if they asked what my #2 would be I would definitely say the porsche cayman, another example of awesome design and speed)

you just cant beat a car that has a stearing wheel in the middle of the car, a gold-lined engine bay, and a ride hieght so low that the side mirrors are almost on the roof

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is not the world’s fastest car, it’s the world’s fastest production car. There are tons of cars that could beat the Bugatti Veyron 16.4, just don’t production cars. So yes the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is the worlds fastest production/street legal car in the world. Also the Lambo Mur Lp640 needs to be above the M5 for sure. I’m not sure if the one i saw hit 219 had any after-market parts on it but i’m pretty sure it was stock. Also the Enzo is up there above a few of them.

This may be the fastest production car but IS NOT the fastest STREET-LEGAL car. That prize goes to a Vauxhall Victor, nicknamed Red Victor 1 by its owner. he actually takes it Draag Racing. So far it is unbeaten!
