Apple iPhone vs. LG Voyager & its QWERTY Keyboard
Gossip columnist/tech writer Walt Mossberg reviews the Voyager, a new touch screen phone from LG.
Walt sez the Voyager is one of the first Apple iPhone competitors to provide a touchscreen interface. The Voyager also includes some features absent in the iPhone, such as 3G (with Verizon), turn-by-turn navigation (courtesy of VZ Navigator), live TV (V Cast Mobile TV) and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard…the full feature set is here.
His review goes downhill from there. The Voyager is larger than the iPhone, no Wi-Fi, lower battery life, a lousy user interface, an inferior web browser and badly-designed software…ouch…guess he favors the iPhone.
BUT….there’s this countervailing review from CNet available at Apple iPhone vs. LG Voyager. Voyager not only outpoints the hapless iPhone 63-to-59 in the CNet Prizefight, but also wins in the navigation/usability round (much maligned by Walt)! … go figure.
