Lenovo has a new super-thin notebook in the pipeline, the ThinkPad X300. Walt Mossberg got a hold of one & found that it’s like Apple’s MacBook Air in that the X300 is quite thin, has a 64 GB solid-state drive and a 13.3 inch LED-backlit.

The X300 includes some of the features that the MBA omitted, such as on optical drive, removable battery, three USB ports, and an Ethernet jack. This additional hardware makes the X300 a bit thicker and heavier than the Air, but apparently not by much. …also fits into the fabled interoffice manila envelope of Air fame.
