Nokia N96 - Now Includes Kitchen Sink
Nokia today announced the follow-on product to their successful N95 mobile phone, to be called appropriately enough, the N96.
NOK says it sold 7 million units of the N95 phone, which represents more than 5% of Nokia sales and a $5B contribution to the bottom line. The N95 was considered to be a notably converged device, combining GPS, multimedia, video, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and smartphone funtionality.
The new N96 differs fron the N95 in a number of ways: screen size increases to 2.8 inches (but stays at QVGA), storage improves to 16 gigabytes, adds live broadcast TV via DVB-H Class C (but it helps to be in a DVB service locale), and its gained a bit of girth and weight..but not much, specs are here.
…a new flagship from Nokia. 550 Euros.
