The Mercury News reminds us against buying a Blu-ray player just now. Despite the end to the format wars (HD DVD lost), it’s better to wait for a while because:
More/better/cheaper Blu-ray players are on the way.
Profile 2.0 (aka BD-Live) will have Internet connectivity
Only about 500 Blu-ray movies are available now.
You just might be happy with an upconverting DVD player instead.
