Well the new Apple iPhone 3G went on sale today, reduced price and all. Demand seems strong, with ATT reporting most stores selling out. The 16-gigabyte version of the iPhone 3G is priced at $299.

Techno-guru Walt Mossberg reviews the soon-to-be available Samsung Instinct mobile phone and deems it to be merely “ok”. Walt says the Instinct lacks the iPhone’s greatest strength namely its software.
